Okay, so Music for the Blind's been running for about a year and a half now and and in that time I have been assuming I wanted to be family friendly without really considering the alternatives.
Recently, however, I have been questioning the logic of this, especially if it's an unpublished rule. Of course, being offensive for the sake of being offensive is pointless, but surely there is something to be gained from taking advantage of every nuance of the language we speak or covering subject matter in as broad a range as possible. On the other hand, there are things that people will be offended by regardless of context.
So, I put it to you, dear listener - keeping in mind that straight-up swearing is probably off the table regardless, should I remain family-friendly or should I not shy away from occasionally posting things with
less than tasteful subject matter?
Full disclosure - that's a Lily Allen cover.
